If you are driving to NIA to collect your child from The Big Sleep In on Saturday morning you can park in the car park underneath the school. This is accessed via a service road on the right hand side of the school. Once you are parked, please head back to the front of the school to collect your child (press the buzzer to be let through the gate) #EMATters

We've chosen our tents and made them nice and cosy ready for our Big Sleep In, now we're enjoying a movie in the Northampton International Academy theatre, before heading to bed a bit later #EMATters

It's dinner time at the Big Sleep In and everyone is hungry after an action-packed afternoon of activities! And while they enjoy their food, children are also making the most of the games available at Northampton International Academy and making new friends too #EMATters

The Big Sleep In is underway at Northampton International Academy and everyone is having lots of fun trying out new activities such as the climbing wall and laser tag, as well as having a go at cake decorating, First Aid and much more! #EMATters

Due to the extreme heat that we are experiencing today (Wednesday) and for the remainder of the week, we are taking steps to mitigate the impact for our pupils and staff. We are keeping our classrooms as cool as possible and relocating classes where necessary to cooler spaces within the school. Pupils are being kept inside where possible during the hottest part of the day, and there will be no PE activities outside. If you feel you are better able to keep your child cool at home, parents are welcome to collect their children from school today and for the rest of the week from 1pm. Our schools will remain open and children are able to stay in school until home time. If your school has an after-school wrap provision, this will remain open. We believe it is in your child's best interests to remain in school but should you consent to them leaving early, please read and share with them the official Government advice on staying safe in the heat below.
