#EMATters Celebration Awards 2025

Thank you to everyone who has submitted a nomination for this year’s #EMATters Celebration Awards. Nominations are now closed. Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in July.

Here's the full list of categories for this year:

  • Inspirational Pupil - This could reflect academic success, or a sporting or extra-curricular achievement eg sports, arts, etc or overcoming adversity to achieve.
  • Teacher of the Year - to honour a teacher who goes above and beyond for their pupils
  • Beyond the Classroom Award - to recognise an amazing support staff member, for example an unsung receptionist, site staff, catering staff and more
  • SEND Star of the Year - to honour excellence and dedication from a pupil with special educational needs 
  • Inclusion Award - for staff/pupils who have made a difference and shone a light on inclusion, for example within SEND, cultural diversity etc.
  • Eco-Award - for staff/pupils who have raised eco-awareness or helped to make their school more environmentally friendly
  • Volunteer of the Year - to recognise the efforts of all the volunteers that contribute to school life
  • Achievement Award - to recognise a pupil who goes the extra mile, perhaps they are a great team player or they regularly go above and beyond to contribute to school life. The winner of this category will be chosen by Pupil Parliament members
